The main purpose of the Vanuatu National Provident Fund (VNPF) is to maximise and protect Provident Fund benefits to all its members, and to provide them with a level of service to which they are entitled. In addition, the Fund may offer other benefits to improve the living standards of all its members, without putting at risk the main purpose of the Fund

    Members please note:

An employer is a body or person (company, association, or a group of persons) with whom an employee has entered into a contract of service or apprenticeship. It includes anybody or person designated as an employer by an order made by the Minister in consultation with the Board.

The Role of the employer contributes to the foundation upon which the VNPF system works.

Your fund assists you in providing for the future security of yourself and your family. When, for instance, you retire or become permanently disabled, you can be confident you will receive an income. When you die, members or a member of your own family whom you nominate will be looked after.

It is particularly important for the workers of Vanuatu to be members of such schemes, because the country does not have a government-funded social welfare system that takes care of people when they can no longer work.

The fund is continually looking into ways to improve the benefits for its members and you will be informed of these developments in the near future.
