Shares

What are Equity investments?

Equity Investments involves buying and holding shares in a firm in anticipation of getting an income from dividends.

The Fund can buy and hold ordinary or preference shares in any unlisted companies when they become available and as part of mitigating risks we only buy shares into a company if that company demonstrates a strong financial performance.

Apart from buying and holding shares in unlisted companies, we also have our Subsidiaries where VNPF is the 100% shareholder. These subsidiaries are:

  1. Member Financial Services Limited- A microfinance scheme that give financial assistance to VNPF members
  2. Bouffa Limited- A farming company with branches in Port Vila, Efate and Luganviille, Santo, that raises cattle for the domestic beef market
  3. Vanuatu Property holdings Limited- A company that has warehouses in Port Vila and Santo currently occupied by Wilco Limited.
